Another week spent ill wasn't on my wishlist for March but it means I've had the time to think about the direction I want to take this Spring!

You guys have been incredible and have almost sold out the shop so I'm planning on working away until I have a lot to offer. As soon as taxes are done I'm finalizing my rebrand to launch with the new pieces!

I've decided to make sure I have a few made-to-order pieces as a constant and these Halo necklaces are definitely one of them! I've been collecting different stone options and so far have got lilac amethyst, rainbow moonstone, aquamarine, opal, and serpentine! I've tried to pick stones that I know will contrast beautifully with the gold. Let me know if you have any other suggestions!

Yes, it's maths..plural (or, if you live near Essex, it's maffs). I know how much North Americans love that.
I've lived in Canada for long enough now that the English way of saying things is starting to sound wrong in my head. Also, words like organize and realize look better with z's instead of s's. Sorry England, I feel like I'm betraying you.

Anywhooo these Coven Rings were the last pieces I finished and there are still two left waiting for homes! While tariffs have gone into effect today, the de-minimis exception is still in place (for now) meaning any US order under $800 WON'T be charged any import fee. So we're good for the time being. I'll keep you posted when there's new developments.

I'm starting on new things today but unfortunately my camera has malfunctioned so until it's either fixed or replaced I'm just going to shut myself away in my studio and create. Hopefully I'll be able to show you what I've got planned soon!

A little insight into how I make my wishbone rings

A little insight into how I make my wishbone rings! It was a little tricky figuring out sizing for these and honestly I'm still trying to find the perfect formula but here's some tips to help if you're struggling:

Stick with the usual formula for ring sizes but tweak it a little. I use - inside diameter + metal thickness x 𝛑, plus a few extra mm to account for the wishbone shape.

This still doesn't end up perfectly for me every time so I always size down a full size and then hammer the soldered rings with a texturing hammer until it gets to the right size.
That way I get cool texture and rings the exact size I want every time!

If you've never heard of this formula, and are wondering how on earth do I know what the inside diameter is, Google "Rio Grande ring blank sizing chart". On the left it shows you the exact inside diameter for each ring size to use in the formula.

I hope this helps a little. It's just the way I've figured out works best for me through a lot of trial and error, so you'll probably have to go through that too!

My little collection Jewellery As Armor is being released tonight (Monday Feb 10th) at 6pm MST!%

It's been a bit hard to create this year in all honesty with all the stress and uncertainty. It wasn't until I'd finished the third piece of this collection that I realized every one had a shield incorporated into it in some way.

So these necklaces were born from a need to protect ourselves and one another in these strange times.

I've said this before, but I'm going to keep creating pieces for the kind, loving, empathetic, powerful humans out there, even when it's a struggle. Our art is needed more than ever right now.

Just a reminder that these are proudly Canadian made! I don't want to panic US folks but we've only potentially got a few weeks until tarrifs are in place so just keep that in mind if you have your eye on something ❤️
